The windfall factor

Looking to strike it rich, buying storage units at auction?

When you goto an storage auction, you over hear everybody joking about finding gold bars in some storage unit and striking it rich buying some abandon storage unit that sells to some lucky guy for twenty dollars.

I personally have not found any gold bars in a storage unit, but I have had some nice finds. BUT don’t kid yourself – the treasure hunting spirit is alive within everyone. The ROI (or return on investment) you can hope to receive from buying storage units is about $7.00-$9.00 for every $1.00 you invest.

  1. Am I reading this post correct; you can hope to receive $7-$9 for every $1 you invest, meaning if you pick up a unit for $100 you can get an average of $700 to $900 out of it?

How long does this usually take to turn a unit around working at it part time?

Also, is this average or “hope”? If this is not average, what do you do you find is average ROI?
